DESTINATION IS ONLY A POSSIBILITY. THE ROAD IS REALITY

Welcome to Roadsigns.
This blog is about a lot of different things and nothing in particular.
I have always been passionate about writing. And there was a time, many long years ago, when I felt like I had a particular story to tell. Sadly (or maybe for the best) I don't hold this confidence anymore.
Today I see this blog as a place to test ideas, collect thoughts and impressions. But most of all, to keep writing.

I love to travel.
More often than so, in my own thoughts. Therefore, it would come as no surprise if my last degree would turn out to be in philosophy.
Currently, my academic focus is cultural studies and intercultural communication - a research field that has contributed heavily to my interest in uncovering intellectual links between various types of media production and how it reflects upon the value systems each of us holds as a part of a particular society or culture.

Serious topics aside,
I enjoy cooking and love spending time with animals and exploring nature.
I consider myself a proud zookeeper who takes care of a dog and a cat, and hopefully even more pets in the future.
I love mountains, and that is the only thing I really lack in my home country of Latvia that I love dearly.
There are two things that calm me down every time - driving and mushroom hunting.
In my spare time, I also enjoy videogames, movies, and playing board games with friends or family.
I guess that's all for now,

Best,
Inga
